What is in the kit
The kit contains everything needed for a complete transient expression workflow, from the CHO-K1 host to media, transfection reagent, feeds, and a positive control vector. eviCHO cells recover quickly after thawing, with a doubling time of approximately 16 hours, and maintain expression across multiple passages.

For optimal expression, we recommend using the cells for up to 20 passages.
Harvest time depends on the target protein. For most proteins the optimal window is 5 to 9 days after transfection.
No. The transfection reagent works without a separate complexation step.
A single feeding step is sufficient. For best results, feed within 2 to 4 hours after transfection.
CMV promoter-based vectors are a strong choice and reliably support high expression levels.
For the highest titers, use approximately 7.5 ug plasmid DNA per mL of transfection medium. Depending on the protein, lower concentrations can work.
